Description
The Kaisersteig circuit starts from the visitor center, passing by the Lenauteich pond, to the Johannstein resting island. From there, follow the signpost to Köhlerhausruine via Kaisersteig, which initially follows the forest road and later turns into a trail. As soon as it goes uphill here, sturdy footwear and surefootedness are required. Right through the forest, past different forest communities, you reach a fork at the foot of the Köhlerhausruine – from here you can reach the Köhlerhausruine in about 15 minutes. The return route leads along the Dianawiese meadow to the “Today for Tomorrow Area” and further to Schacherplatz. Follow the path to Leopoldmühle at Lenauteich pond, from where it goes back to the visitor center.
